We Are Feeling Thankful
All of us here at Shipley are feeling thankful. It seems like we have started many of this year’s newsletters with a similar statement, but it holds true again this month: This year’s Thanksgiving will be unlike most past celebrations. Crowded football games and prep rallies followed by time spent at packed dining room tables and on crammed living room couches catching up with extended family may not be a reality for most of us this year. And, for many of us that is tough to handle. But, frame of mind is important during challenging times, and I did see a great quote about 2020 that may help put things in perspective:
This is not the year to get everything you want. This is the year to appreciate everything you have.
While it is a very simple quote, it does speak volumes about the last 8 months. 2020 has not been what any of us were planning, but Thanksgiving is a great time to look around and be thankful for the many blessings that we do have. And, here at Shipley Plumbing, Heating & Air, we feel truly blessed for so many things, the most important of which are below:
Our Plumbers and HVAC Technicians
If you ask any of our plumbers and technicians, they will say that being deemed essential employees was an absolute honor. And I know that each and every one of them took their essential title very seriously. Even when things were looking their absolute worst, our team went out into our community’s homes to ensure that each and every family was safe and comfortable with properly functioning plumbing, A/C, indoor air quality systems and heating. To our entire team of plumbers and technicians – we are so thankful for you!
Our Office Staff and Customer Service Representatives
Our in-office team tackled every obstacle thrown at them this year, including becoming an out-of-office team for a bit. But, working from home did not stop them! They worked remotely, which can be a major challenge within itself, and they never missed a beat. To all of our office team members – we are so thankful for you!
Feeling Thankful for Our Loyal Customers
We know what a challenge this year has been. We also know that letting people into your home may have seemed nerve-racking at certain times. Thank you for trusting in our safety protocols and procedures. Keeping you safe and comfortable is ALWAYS our top priority and we appreciate the continued support and loyalty. Without you we wouldn’t be able to do what we love each and every day, and we are truly thankful for you!
Our Community
Finally, we have to mention the gratitude that we feel for our local community. If this year has shown us anything, it is that we need each other’s support. Hard times create strong bonds, and we feel that our community is as strong as ever. We have never been prouder to be a business in Maryland. We are also a company made up of local residents, and knowing that we can depend on one another during tough times is a great gift.
From all of us to all of you, we are truly thankful for you. Whether we work with you here at Shipley Plumbing, Heating & Air or for you out in the community we wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.
